Cutenews Smilies
So there are not alot of people out there who like the look of the cutenews default smilies, if you are one of those people and are wondering how you can change them with others that you have created or downloaded, I have the steps right here for you. Hopefully made simple and easy.

First you need to log into your FTP account and make you way to you Emoticons Folder.
Usually found here Cutenews>data>emoticons

In there are all the default smilies and your first step is to delete all of those. Once those are deleted take your new smilies that you want and move them into that folder in place of the ones you just deleted.

Your next step is to log into your Cutenews account and located the System Configurations.
You'll find it by going Options>System Configurations

Once you are there, just look down until you see where it says Smilies. In here you'll need to delete anything that may be listed and change it to the names of the smiles that you just uploaded to your ftp account.

Example

So if the name of your smilie is laugh.gif, then you would put laugh, into the box and continue on with the rest of the smilies that you uploaded to your account. Once your saved your settings your smilies should be showing up in your cutenews.
